Townsend’s celebrate 60th anniversaay

— Betty Jo Daulton, daughter of the late William Earl Daulton and the late Argola Emma Dodson of Somerset, Ky., married Harold Hugh Townsend, son of the late James Otto Townsend and the late Eula Bae Barfoot, Birmingham, Ala., on July 17, 1948, in Birmingham, Ala. This happy and wonderful marriage was performed by the Rev. James H. Butler.
Harold and Betty resided in Birmingham, Ala., until his retirement from The Postal Transportation Service in April 1983. They have made Somerset their home since that time.
This marriage was blessed by the birth of a daughter, Donna, who resides in Somerset with her husband Roger Gossett. Harold and Betty has also been blessed with one grandchild, Joseph Daulton Marlow.
The daughter and her family will be honoring this occasion Sunday afternoon July 20, 2008, with an informal reception at their home.
Our prayer is that God will continue to bless this union as he has so graciously done already.
