The Hails celebrate 50th anniversary

Commonwealth Journal

Somerset — Ronald C. Hail and Wilma Gail Adkins were married June 23, 1961, at First Methodist Church in Somerset by Dr. Warner P. Davis.

They have lived in Somerset most of their married life with the exception of 20 years.

Ron worked for Lear Siegler Inc. and commuted back and forth from Morristown, Tenn.

He retired from Lear Siegler in 1999 after 33 years.

Wilma Gail worked in real estate for 14 years, retiring in 2006.

Together (with the help of the Lord) they have raised four sons: Scott (and Teresa), Shannon (and Laura) and John Patrick Hail, all of Somerset, and Sammy (and Rhonda) Hail of Louisville.

They also have been blessed with four grandchildren: Christopher, Cameron and Kaleigh Hail, all of Somerset, and Allie Jo Hail of Louisville.

Ron and Wilma Gail celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Florida where they revisited some of the places they had gone on their honeymoon 50 years ago.

On that trip 50 years ago, they were driving their new 1961 Chevy, black with red interior, five speed with a 348 cubic engine with three carburetors.
