Jim Richardson and Andy Mercer of the Pulaski County Road Department trim the tree — the 2013 downtown Somerset Christmas tree on Fountain Square, that is — on Monday afternoon. The 17-foot-high tree, which was put up last week, is decorated with about 5,000 multi-colored LED lights, and features a special star ornament on top this year. The tree will be lit in a special annual ceremony on Saturday, December 7, immediately following the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, which begins at 5 p.m.
