Emergency workers were called to a residence on Scenic Vista Drive, located off Boat Dock Road, at around 5:27 p.m. Wednesday after an approximately 5-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle. Emergency officials on the scene said the young child may have suffered a head injury and an injury to his leg. A Somerset-Pulaski County ambulance, with EMS workers treating the child inside, is shown at the Waddle Station of the Parkers Mill Volunteer Fire Department awaiting the boy’s transfer to a helicopter for a flight to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
