Austin Hall, 7, and Aubrey Hall , 5, shown with their newest sibling Easton Clark, 1, were both born with serious congenital heart defects. Austin underwent one open heart surgery, and Aubrey has undergone 11 surgeries total; Both are doing well, and their mother, Kimberly Clark, recently worked to help pass Senate Bill 125, which will make the pulse oximetry test, a low-cost and painless procedure, mandatory for all newborns in the hospital. The test can help doctors catch and diagnose serious heart defects in newborns before it's too late.
