The family of Dave Colvin will host a surprise open house in his honor at Eagles Nest Country Club on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Mr. Colvin, originally from Taylor County, is retired from the L & N Railroad and is the husband of Rosemary (Ware) Colvin. Mr. and Mrs. Colvin now reside in Somerset and are members of Buena Vista Baptist Church. The celebration of Mr. Colvin’s birthday will be hosted by the couple’s children, Mike and Barb Allen, Salem, Ind., Steve and Pat Allen, Elizabethtown, Eric and Sherry Allen, Shelbyville, Craig and Robyn Allen, Somerset and David Colvin, Louisville.
