The family of Melvin C. Hall hosted a birthday breakfast at the Bread of Life Cafe in Liberty.
Melvin, originally from Somerset, is retired from Southern Railroad.
He is the husband of Grace Foley Hall, Jamestown, Ky.
The celebration of his 85th birthday was hosted by his children: Bob and Susan Hall and Jerry and Joyce Burnett, Somerset; Jim and Phyllis Hall, Faubush; and Linda Trimble, Frankfort; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
