Elva Burton celebrates 80th birthday

Somerset — Elva Burton was born February 7, 1932.

She married Aaron Burton on January 14, 1950. They were married for 56 years when he went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2006.

She is blessed with five children: Connie (and Jonathan) Jones, Carol (and Jim) Strack, Stacy (and Vanessa) Burton, Bob (and Dianna) Sexton and Calvin (and Emma) Sexton.

She also has nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Elva was a foster parent for 11 years. In that time she was mother to 14 foster children.

She was saved at the age of 12 and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church since 1949, where she is still a member today.

She loves her church, family and friends.

When health permitted she loved cooking, sewing and teaching Sunday school.

She loved cooking for family and friends and taking food to the shut-ins.

Her children invite you to attend her 80th birthday celebration at Oak Hill Gardens Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m.

Everyone is invited to join Elva and her family as they celebrate her 80th birthday and make this a most memorable day.
