Total Power...

An expression I once heard is; “Total power equals total corruption, and ultimately, total destruction.” There is truth in this expression when we look to history and even into today’s world.

Adolf Hitler—Leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party. A man who initially endeared himself to the masses and then led them like sheep to slaughter, an estimated 17 million dead. Total power, total corruption.

Benito Mussolini—An atheist and one of the key figures in the creation of Fas-cism in Italy, which is a radical, authoritarian, nationalist, political ideology, anti-capitalism, anti-conservative, anti-democratic and anti-individualist. He promised a social revolution which benefited the lower and middle class through an expanded government workforce which doubled in the year 1930 alone. Health and welfare spending tripled in 10 years from 1930 to 1940. Total power, total corruption and eventual total destruction.

Mao Tse-tung—Communist, and responsible for the deaths of between 40 and 70 million people, many more than Hitler. Still, there are those in America who hold him in high esteem, including some in our own government. He was named as one of the top 100 most influential people of the 20th century by liberal Time magazine. Surprise, surprise. Communism has total control within China and total corruption at the top.

Che Guevara—Socialist Marxist and Cuban revolutionary who killed countless people with military tribunal firing squads after his alignment with the Castros. Many young Americans still wear his picture on their shirts because he represents rebellion and governmental overthrow. Also one of Time magazines top 100. Florida is overrun with people trying to escape Socialist Cuba where the government has total power and there’s total corruption.

Hugo Chavez—Venezuela’s president, re-electable for life, Sean Penn and Morgan Freeman’s hero, working toward a Socialist government. Since 2002 he has nationalized (bailed out) 1045 companies and private properties. This year alone he has stepped in 459 times and taken over land and buildings. Total power and corruption at the top.

The menu for the Obama Administration’s hunger for power is too lengthy to list. They want a nation of people totally dependent upon the government wherein the power lies, similar to Mussolini. Most people are becoming aware of the political corruption now coming to light within the federal government. There has always been, and will always be, a degree of corruption in a government the size of ours. However, there seems to be more in this Administration. As a result of investigative reporters, cable news and the social media we now have, it is harder for them to get away with it.

Fortunately for America, the rise of the TEA Party in 2010 broke the Democrat strangle hold. Sean Hannity asked a good question: Can we afford four more? I don’t believe we can afford even one more.

Today it’s the Occupy Wall Street protesters across the country, encouraged by Democrats and labor unions. Tomorrow could see riots in the streets by uncontrolled mobs, reminiscent of Greece.
