A driver and his three passengers sustained multiple injuries in an accident in Faubush Sunday evening.
Joshua F. Bowling, 27, of Somerset, was traveling east on Ky. 196 near Hominy Hill Road around 9:25 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve, left the roadway, struck a culvert, and then struck a tree.
Bowling, along with his passengers — Brandon Kissee, 23, of Faubush, Donald C. Griffith, 40, of Somerset, and Vernon C. Wilson, 26, of Eubank — had to be extricated from the vehicle by members of the Pulaski County Rescue Squad.
Bowling, Kissee, and Griffith were treated at the scene by the Somerset-Pulaski County EMS, and were airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center by Air Methods and Air Evac. A UK spokeswoman said Bowling and Kissee were in serious condition yesterday evening. Griffith was listed in fair condition yesterday.
Wilson was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. A LCRH spokeswoman said Wilson was treated in the emergency room and released.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s units were assisted at the scene by the Faubush Volunteer Fire Department.
An investigation into the crash is continuing by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
