Two people were transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Friday afternoon after a three-vehicle collision occurred approximately eight miles east of Somerset at the intersection of Ky. 461 and Coin Road that shut down Ky. 461 for at least an hour.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, Angela K. Little, 28, of Sherry Lane, Burnside, was operating a 2001 Lincoln northbound on Ky. 461 and was waiting to turn left onto Coin Road when she was struck in the rear by a northbound 1991 Toyota operated by Vivian Eaton, 56, of Dahl Road, Somerset.
After the initial impact, the Eaton vehicle was then struck by a southbound 2003 International Semi Truck operated by Richard Moore, 48, of Hwy. 52, Stout, Ohio.
Eaton and a passenger in the Little vehicle, Christy Housley, 25, of Rhett Butler Drive, Bronston, were both treated at the scene and transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital by Somerset Pulaski County Fire/EMS.
At press time, Housley was listed as still being treated in the ER, and Eaton was listed as stable.
During cleanup traffic was rerouted onto Barnesburg Road.
