Elizabeth Ann "Anna" Phillippi, 89, Cotter Avenue, Somerset, Ky., passed away Monday, March 24, 2008, at Britthaven Nursing Home.
She was born in Ula, Ky., on April 4, 1918, daughter of the late John and Lena Ping Wright. She was retired from Palm Beach, where she worked for 36 years as a seamstress and of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by two sons, Lee (and Bonnie) Phillippi, Somerset and Tony (and Bridgette) Stringer, Port Charlotte, Fla.; one daughter, June (and Denzil) Ferguson, Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Bernice Moore, Pinckney, Mich.; three grandchildren, Jamie Ferguson, Tracy Phillippi and David Phillippi; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Phillip Claunch and Kailee and Tori Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester C. Phillippi, whom she married on April 27, 1935; five brothers, Lewis, Bill, Virgil H., Joe and Boyce Wright; and six sisters, Della Stringer, Ola Smith, Thelma Brown, Maxine Sears, Pauline Hansford and Betty Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Hail officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
