Steve Huff, 49, a resident of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
He was born April 7, 1959 at Hamilton, Ohio the son of Ivel Vernon Huff and Sylvia Moran Ping. He was employed at Associates in Eye Care as a lab technician. Steve was a great fan of NASCAR and driver Denny Hamlin. He loved his family and was always in a good mood and smiling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Steve is survived by his mother, Sylvia Ping, Somerset; fiancee Melissa Loveless, Hustonville, Ky.; four children, Joshua Huff, McCreary County, Kinsley Huff, Covington, Kentucky, Miranda Barns, Somerset, Haelee Faith Huff, Dalton, Georgia; three grandchildren; one brother, Jeffery Huff, Somerset; one sister, Cathy King, Somerset; three nieces; one nephew; three great nieces; and two great nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Ivel Huff, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday morning, May 17, 2008 with Reverend Emmett Lanham officiating.
Musical selections include “I Can Only Imagine,” “Amazing Grace,” and “Sweet Home Alabama.” Services will be held at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home, 603 Monticello Street.
A visitation for Steve’s friends will be held anytime after 4 p.m. on Friday at Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Joe New, Jason Huff, Scott Strange, Mitchell Blankenship, Jerry Girdler and Tony Duvall.
Lange & New Bros. Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
