— Hazel Irene Johnson, 85, departed this life on May 14, 2008, to be with the Lord in her Heavenly Home.
Ms. Johnson was born August 9, 1922, in Lorraine, NY, to the late George and Marion Poole Spicer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Johnson, of Vinnie, Ky., and one son, James “J.J.” Johnson.
Ms. Johnson is survived by her children, Drusilla (and Philip) Kauffman, of Tennessee, Dorinda Bell and Larry Johnson; her five grandchildren, Jamaine (and Ross) Rice, of Rosendale, NY, Angelia Juette, of Atlanta, Ga., Tony (and Robin) Johnson, of Somerset, Tim (and Sarah) Johnson, of Hardinburg, Ky., and B.J. (and Melissa) Johnson, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and her six great-grandchildren, Amelia Rice, Dylan Rice, Tabitha Johnson, Kelsie Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Delynn Johnson.
The family of Hazel Irene Johnson will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the chapel of Nancy Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 18 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Harold Wright officiating.
Interment will follow in the Smith Grove Cemetery.
