Margaret Lee “Brinson” Whitis, 73, Bowling Green, died May 20, 2008, at Harborside Healthcare.
She was born in Pulaski County, Ky., on Dec. 31, 1934, the daughter of the late George Lawrence “Broom” Brinson and Vienna “Vie” Serena “Schoolcraft” Brinson. She was a former retoucher for Chess Johnson Photography, Office manager of Clover Leaf Construction, Southern Kentucky Concrete, Wilkinson Equipment and Equipment Renewal and Hydraulics. She attended Richardsville Baptist Church and First Pentecostal Church and was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother.
She was the wife of the late Edward D. Whitis.
Survivors include a daughter, Myra Whitis (and her husband, Roger D.) Hall, Bowling Green; a son, Lawrence Edward (and his wife, Donna Jean) Whitis, Alvaton; two sisters, Joyce (and her husband, Harold) Hamm, Somerset and Louise (and her husband, John) Carter, Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Nicole Lee Whitis, Alvaton and David Warren Hall, Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many friends and loving staff of Harborside Health Care of Bowling Green.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Trimble.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (today), May 23, 2008, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday (today) at the funeral home.
