— Effie Jones, 89, was born in Wayne County, Sept. 27, 1918, the daughter of the late Larry and Thellie Morrow Dunagan. She passed away Tuesday, June 10, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
She was united in marriage with Herbert Jones, who passed away August 16, 1984. Surviving are four children, Ina Robertson of Bethlehem, Ga., Judy Carrender of Monticello, Buna Jones of Orlando, Fla., and Alene Stewart of Somerset. Her son, Kenneth Jones, also precedes her in death.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, her brother Norman Dunagan, and sister Evelyn Bertram. Her brother, Leslie Dunagan, precedes her in death.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the Meadow Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. tonight in the Hickey & Son Funeral Home Chapel with viewing from 6 to 8 Thursday.
Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
