Margaret Raybould

Margaret Fietz Raybould, age 63, of Bowling Green, Ky. and formerly of Somerset passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. after a short illness. She was born in Somerset on Nov. 7, 1944 a daughter of the late John and Dot Elizabeth Parks Fietz. Margaret is survived by two sons, John Raybould and David (and Andrea) Raybould, both of Bowling Green; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Addyson Raybould.

Margaret was a consultant for the Kentucky Department of Libraries and she was a former educator with the Somerset Board of Education. She served as Librarian at Hopkins Elementary School. She received her Rank 1 teaching designation from Eastern Kentucky University and her Masters Degree from the University of Kentucky.

Margaret was a member of the Somerset First United Methodist Church. She had a very close and wonderful group of friends who were always there when she needed them, and a group of former students she adopted as her extended family. Her warm smile and genuine affection for others will be missed by all who knew her. Margaret also enjoyed the sound of laughter and could make those around her chuckle.

Visitation for Margaret Fietz Raybould will be held Thursday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and after 8 a.m. on on Friday.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 18 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company & Crematory.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Humane Society.
