Nola Schwab, 87, of Findlay, Ohio, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1922, in Van Hook, Ky., to the late Delbert F. and Virida E. Bullock. She married Paul T. Schwab on Sept. 19, 1944, in Fostoria, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1983.
She is survived by ten children, Jimmie W. Schwab of Findlay, Edwin E. (and Margaret) Schwab of Jenera, Alden L. (and Cindy) Schwab of Findlay, Barbara A. (and Danny Ray) Corwin of Rawson, Michael T. Schwab of Findlay, Doris J. (and Dave) Stallsmith of LaRue, Ohio, Joseph P. (and Dorothy) Schwab of Findlay, Theresa M. (and Jeff) Young of Findlay, Dale L. (and Trina) Schwab of Findlay, and Douglas L. (and Barb) Schwab of Fostoria; 25 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Willard Bullock; and stepmother, Roxie Bullock.
She had attended Maranatha Bible Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, her children and grandchildren, watching golf and NASCAR races, fishing and quilting. Nola also had a special affection for her pet Chihuahuas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home with Pastor Goodwin officiating.
Burial will follow in Knollcrest Gardens, east of Findlay.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in her memory.
