Do you remember where you were on Aug. 16, 1977?

If you’re over the age of about 31, you may know that’s when the world lost Elvis Presley. But, as those of us who continue to be big fans know, The King Lives On!!! And that’s exactly what we were lucky enough to experience last Saturday night at Cruiser’s Showcase, thanks to Spencer Weddle.

The Elvis tribute artist (a/k/a Shane) really brought us back to those fabulous years – he put on a spectacular show and made us feel that we were right there with The King!

Thanks, Elvis!

As much as I enjoyed the show, for me the bigger part of this event was the kindness and generosity of Spencer, owner/operator of Cruiser’s Showcase. He wanted to help cancer survivors, so donated proceeds from this show to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event.

In my opinion, he has a wonderful, humble, serving heart! Thanks for all you did for us, Spencer!
