Moores’ Column: ‘A Crock’
letters to the editor
Commonwealth Journal
To Robert Moore:
Robert, here is my take on your column, “The Writing on the Wall,, dated Wednesday, November 4th. In a word, I thought your entire column was a “crock”.
Left-wing Democrats just do not get it. I am sure you will expound in some non-impressive manner on the Republican victories last night in Virginia and New Jersey. Naturally you and your ilk want us to always have a John McCain type of wishy-washy candidate to run against the left wing Democrat candidate.
If anyone in this scenario is a “heathen” as you put it, it is those of you who very smugly take glee in what your party has brought to this great Country in the past twelve months, i.e., astronomical public debt, a slumping currency, every day increased government control of the economy, continued job losses, radical judges, a disastrous foreign policy which involves running around the world apologizing and running down America, a devastating
Intent for government takeover of health care, ownership of the banking and automobile indus-tries, and a desire to totally destroy the coal industry which would have a monumental impact on our electric bills.
You and those whose altar you worship at have put in place one year ago the most radical govern-ment in generations. At that time, you announced the Republican Party was dead or dying. There is no question about real Repub-licans, we have never been, nor will ever be, “a socially progressive group”… AKA “liberals.”
The United States is mostly made up of people who have strong conservative views. The Repub-lican Party started getting off course when they tried to outspend Democrats, and as the President’s own preacher said, “our chickens came home to roost” and we ended up with Mr. Obama.
Now it is time to try and correct our ship of state. We got started last night, now you and those of you who constantly want us to run “progressive (AKA “liberal”) candi-dates,” stand by and watch what happens a year from now….but of course, this is only my view, and I already know what your’s is.
