Dear Editor:
I believe there may be a most constructive use for a portion of the $1 million designated for redoing the Fountain Square.
When this project is done, it surely will be attractive to destructive pests.
Pulaski County currently is host to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of black birds (starlings) which leave a profusion of their rich deposits wherever they find a roosting place.
Surely no Pulaski County citizen would want to see a million dollar project marred by a nightly invasion of these pesky critters. Therefore, earmarking several thousand dollars for damage prevention and starling eradication would seem to be a wise and legitimate use of a small portion of these monies.
Sincerely,
Lester Abbott
