‘Thanks’ to emergency personnel

Dear Editor:

I would like to express my gratitude to the emergency responders and other public and private employees who assisted with the two recent tragedies at Colonial Village.

In November, there was a devastating fire. Approximately two weeks ago, there was the tragic death of a teen-ager and her unborn son.

A heartfelt thanks is due Somerset Fire Department, Somerset Police Department, Somerset-Pulaski County Rescue Squad, Somerset-Pulaski County Ambulance EMS, Pulaski County Disaster Emergency Services, Somerset Street Department and Kentucky Utilities.

Employees of these organizations carried out their duties in a very professional and efficient manner. It was very evident that they had spent countless hours training for situations such as these.

Citizens can be assured that Pulaski County has extremely capable personnel to handle a wide array of emergencies.
