A man was indicted by a Pulaski County grand jury last week on sexual abuse charges after allegedly having sexual contact with a minor.
Simon Newsome, 65, of Virgie, Ky., was indicted on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse after he allegedly had sexual contact with a young girl under the age of 12.
Chief Deputy Larry Wesley with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the victim was a family member, but he could not provide any further details.
Newsome is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
