An investigation into a burglary at a residence in Eubank led to the arrest of a Waynesburg man last week.
Philip C. Scharbrough, 29, of 1290 Pleasant Point School Road, Waynesburg, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Lincoln County by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, returned to the county and charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $300.
The investigation began on Monday, Feb. 16, when the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at a residence on Ky. 1247 in Eubank.
The father of the victim approached a male subject in the vehicle on the property, later identified as Scharbrough, and obtained the registration on the pickup truck Scarbrough was reportedly operating.
The owner of the property and a deputy checked the residence and reportedly discovered that Scharbrough had entered the residence and removed property, and a Pulaski District Court warrant of arrest was issued during the investigation.
Scharbrough was later interviewed by a sheriff’s deputy at another location.
Scharbrough was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $15,000 cash or property bond.
