Sheriff’s office makes several arrests, returns fugitive

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department made several arrests last weekend, including one in which a fugitive was returned back to the area from Nelsonville, Ohio after he was apprehended there by authorities.
According to the sheriff’s department, Jason A. Brewer, 35, of 71 Paines Avenue, Hamden, Ohio, was arrested Friday, May 2 on a Pulaski Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest after he failed to appear in court on the original charge of flagrant non-support and returned to the county.
Brewer was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department also made several other arrests, including the following:
• Robert Coontz, 37, of 128 Jarrods Way, Bronston, was arrested Monday on a Boyle County Circuit Court warrant of arrest on indictment and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond.
• Stevenson E. Watson, 29, of Pine Knot was arrested Monday for flagrant non-support. Watson had the Pulaski District Court warrant of arrest issued for him after he failed to pay child support in the amount of $2,178.67 as ordered by Pulaski Family Court in May 2001.
He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $2,178.67 cash bond.
• Walter T. Silvers, 25, of 256 Prewitt Way, Somerset was arrested Sunday, May 4 for failure to appear. Silvers had the Pulaski Circuit Court Bench warrant of arrest issued for him after he failed to appear in circuit court on the original charge of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
