A Somerset woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with drug trafficking after authorities conducted a search at her residence and found several hundred pills and more than $5,000 in cash.
According to a press release from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, authorities conducted an investigation and surveillance at the residence of Sherry D. Gilmore, 32, of 105 Hideaway Drive, Somerset after several neighbors reported illegal drug activity at the home.
The investigation resulted in a search warrant being issued, and the search uncovered more than 400 Oxycontin pills, crack cocaine and more than $5,000 in cash at Gilmore’s home.
The Oxycontin had an estimated street value of more than $55,000.
Gilmore was charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, a Class C felony. She was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
The investigation is being continued by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division.
