Parker’s Lake man charged in connection with pursuit

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Parker’s Lake man Tuesday on a Pulaski District Court warrant of arrest was served on numerous traffic-related charges in connection with a December 2006 incident.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, Tony M. Ridner, 27, of Slab Vanover Road, Parker’s Lake, was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), improper passing, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended or revoked license and failure to maintain required insurance.

The charges stemmed from an incident that happened on Dec. 16, 2006, when Deputy Jayson Flynn observed a vehicle passing another vehicle on a double yellow line. When he conducted a traffic stop, the driver fled on foot.

Through an investigation, Ridner was identified as the driver of the vehicle and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. Further investigation also revealed Ridner’s license had been revoked and the vehicle had no insurance.

Ridner was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
