Eubank man arrested after Wednesday assault

A Eubank man was arrested and stands accused of assaulting another man with a steel pipe after a Wednesday evening fight.
Joshua L. Johnson, 18, 2016 Tower Drive, Eubank, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault — a class C felony.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a call of a fight Wedesday evening at 2007 Hayes Road, Eubank. Upon arrival, units learned that the fight had occurred between Kevin L. Caudill, 41, 2007 Hayes Road, Eubank, and Johnson, in front of Caudill’s residence. They also found that during the fight, Johnson struck Caudill several times in the head and on his body with a pipe.
Caudill was treated at the scene by Somerset Fire/EMS and flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
The sheriff’s department said Caudill’s injuries were not believed to be life threatening at the time of the incident.
On Saturday, a University of Kentucky Medical Center spokesperson said Caudill “was not listed in the system.”
Following Johnson’s arrest he was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center and his bond was set at $5,000 cash.
The investigation into the incident is continuing by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
