Water Temperature
As of June 18, the water temperature at Burnside Marina was 80 degrees from the surface to 15 feet feet, 76 degrees at 20 feet, 72 degrees at 25 feet and 69 degrees at 30 feet.
Fishing Conditions
Fishing conditions on Lake Cumberland are reported as follows: Smallmouth Bass are being caught on plastic worms and jigs off the main lake points. Bluegill are biting crickets and worms in the back of the creeks. Walleye are being caught off main lake flats on bottom bouncers tipped with night crawlers and crankbaits. Striper fishing has been fair on the main lake during the day on live bait and umbrella rigs 25-30 feet down. Below the Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery and in the Cumberland River, Rainbow and Brown Trout can be caught on spinners, salmon eggs, night crawlers, and corn.
