A Somerset man was arrested on traffic-related charges after he fled from Pulaski County Sheriff’s units Sunday evening.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, at 7:23 p.m., Deputy Steve Molen was patrolling Ky. 914 when he clocked by moving radar a westbound 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling 88 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone. When Molen tried to stop the motorcycle, the driver fled westbound on Ky. 914 and was later stopped by Deputy Charles Boston at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Ky. 914.
Arrested at scene by Molen was Adam R. Christopher, 26, 2589 Plato Vanhook Road, Somerset. He was charged with speeding and first-degree fleeing and evading police (motor vehicle).
Christopher was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Other arrests include:
• Gary W. Caldwell, 25, Rocky Top Trailer Park, Lot 15, Mt. Vernon, Ky., was arrested Sunday after he was returned as a wanted subject to Pulaski County from Fayette County, Ky., apprehended by authorities there on two Pulaski Circuit Court bench warrants for probation violation.
Caldwell had the bench warrants of arrest issued for him after he violated the terms of his probation on the original charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and theft of a motor vehicle registration plate.
Caldwell was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center with no bond.
