Somerset man arrested on theft charges

A Somerset man was arrested on theft-related charges Monday after he was caught stealing money from a video game machine on video surveillance.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, Jim W. Goff, 34, of 68 Westgate Drive, had a warrant of arrest issued for him after he was caught stealing over $300 from a video game machine on an in-store video surveillance camera.

Goff was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300 and he was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department also returned a wanted fugitive to Pulaski County from Ohio on Tuesday, June 10, after he was apprehended there on a Pulaski Circuit Court warrant of arrest on indictment.

According the sheriff’s department, Robert W. Foster, 38, of 2813 Honesdale Court, Cincinnati, Ohio, was connected to a theft that took place on March 10 at Somerset Automotive Group.

An investigation by the Somerset Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division revealed that Foster had committed the offense of theft by unlawful taking (auto) in connection with the incident.

A Pulaski County grand jury handed down an indictment on Foster in April.

Foster was charged with theft by unlawful taking over $300 and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
