Three Nancy residents face burglary charges

Three Nancy residents were arrested on Monday in connection with a burglary and theft from Mandy’s Supermarket.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department arrested were Gregory A. Pennington, 39, West Highway 80, Nancy, Ky.; Tommi Carrol Collett, 41, School Road, Nancy, Ky.; and Van David Baker, 43, Warner Road, Nancy; were all arrested at the scene and charged with third-degree burglary (felony) and theft by unlawful taking under $300 (misdemeanor).
The incident began when units responded to a report of a burglary and theft in progress at Mandy’s Supermarket, located approximately nine miles west of Somerset in Nancy. Upon arrival at the scene, sheriff units located and detained three subjects who were attempting to leave Mandy’s Supermarket.
An investigation revealed that the three subjects had entered the apartments adjoining Mandy’s Supermarket and removed a large quantity of electrical wire from the building.
Pennington, Collett and Baker were all lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center and the investigation into the burglary and theft is continuing by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
