A Somerset man is in critical condition after being airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center following an early morning accident yesterday.
According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, the accident with entrapment occurred at 1:24 a.m. approximately 10 miles south of Somerset on Keno Road.
Upon investigation, the sheriff’s department found that a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon, traveling north-bound on Keno Road and being operated by Donald A. Spencer, 44, 120 Crestwood Road, Somerset, left the traveled portion of the roadway on the west side, traveling north before striking two trees and coming to a rest.
Spencer was extricated from his vehicle by members of the Tateville Fire Department.
Spencer was treated by the Somerset Fire/EMS and airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center by LifeNet.
A spokesperson for the University of Kentucky Medical Center said Spencer was in critical condition yesterday afternoon.
Assisting at the scene were the Somerset Fire/EMS, Tateville Fire Department and the Pulaski County Public Safety Director.
