An Indiana man was arrested Sunday by the Burnside Police Department on a number of charges — including driving a stolen vehicle — following a traffic stop.
Rex Wilson, 52, of Ft. Wayne, Ind., was arrested following a call of a reckless driver southbound on U.S. 27. Burnside police officers Jeff Casada and Asst. Chief Bruce Blevins stopped Wilson’s vehicle at a Shell station located at 8591 South U.S. 27.
Investigation determined that Wilson was driving a 2001 Dodge Intrepid on a suspended operator’s license, according to the Burnside Police Department. Furthermore, the vehicle Wilson was in had been reported stolen from Ft. Wayne early that day.
Wilson was arrested and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on charges of operating on a suspended license, having an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, and receiving stolen property (motor vehicle).
The investigation is continuing with the Burnside Police Department.
