A Pulaski County man was arrested last week on burglary and theft charges in connection with two break-ins in Science Hill.
Anthony E. West, 23, of 7488 N. Hwy. 1247, Science Hill, was arrested Friday, Aug. 29 and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of theft by unlawful taking over $300.
According to a press release from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, on Sunday, Aug. 24, a suspect, later identified as West, entered two garages on N. Hwy. 1247 and stole several items, including air compressors, a chain saw and other hand tools.
During the investigation a witness gave Deputy David Wesley information in connection with the case, which was deemed vital in the identification of West and in the recovery of the stolen items, according to the press release.
“Sheriff Todd Wood commended the attention to detail provided by one of the victims in the investigation for the quick resolution of this incident and arrest of the suspect,” the press release stated.
After his arrest West was also charged on a Madison County District Court warrant of arrest for second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and a Pulaski County District Court warrant of arrest for failure to appear.
West was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
