By SUSAN WHEELDON, CJ Staff Writer
Commonwealth Journal

Two Bronston men were arrested Friday following an investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, the investigation resulted in a search warrant for a residence located at 367 Tucker Road, Bronston, Ky., in southern Pulaski County.

The investigation was conducted after the Sheriff’s Department received citizens’ complaints about the illegal sale of alcohol and drugs from the home.

The search warrant was executed on Friday and sheriff’s units confiscated beer, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and weapons from the residence.

During the search, sheriff’s units observed another suspect drive past the residence that was involved in the investigation. Upon stopping the vehicle, a second suspect who had outstanding warrants for his arrest was taken into custody. During the arrest, the suspect was found to have methamphetamine hidden in his wallet.

Frank W. Souder, 53, 367 Tucker Road, Bronston, Ky., was arrested and charged with illegal possession of alcoholic beverages in a dry territory first offense, a class B misdemeanor, possession of marijuana less than eight ounces, a class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia first offense, a class A misdemeanor.

Tony D. Nevels, 41, 233 Ky. 790 Bronston, Ky., was arrested and charged with four counts of failure to appear in Pulaski District Court and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, a class D felony.

Both Souder and Nevels were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

The investigation is continuing by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.
