Sheriff’s drug probe nets 16 indictments

A grand jury handed down indictments on 16 people this month after an investigation into illegal drug activity in Pulaski County was conducted.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, the investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division and the Narcotics Division was aided by citizens within the county.

“These indictments are a result of the dedicated efforts put forth by investigators through citizen complaints and by independent intelligence gathered by the investigators into illegal drug activity in Pulaski County,” Pulaski County Sheriff Todd Wood said.

The following people were indicted last week by a Pulaski County grand jury on drug charges in connection with the investigation:

• Denise G. Casada, 41, of 1715 Hwy. 90, Bronston, charged with trafficking in marijuana less than eight ounces and the use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Danny W. Clark, 31, of 85 White Oak Creek, Stearns, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Oxycodone).

• William R. Denham, 37, of 211 Clifty Road, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Oxycodone).

• Terry B. Dobbs, 48, of 2100 Cave Hill Road, Eubank, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone).

• Lisa B. Dugger, 48, of Clifty Road, Somerset, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

• Wanda M. Godby, 44, of 802 South Lee Trover Todd Highway, Earlington, Ky., charged with first-degree enhancement trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), second-degree enhancement trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone) and third-degree enhancement trafficking in a controlled substance (Alprazolam).

• Sherry D. Gilmore, 33, of 105 Hideaway Drive, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine and Hydrocodone), second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone and Buprenorhine) and second-degree persistent felony offender.

• Tina L. Jones, 44, of Lincoln Street, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Methadone).

• Timothy Postell Jr., 34, of 19951 Rowe Street, Detroit, Mich., charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

• Mary J. Saenz, 49, of Economy Inn, Somerset, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

• Rick Smittle, 46, of Lewis Street, Eubank, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Oxycodone).

• James R. Stringer, 63, of 205 Norwood Road, Science Hill, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone) and illegal sale of alcoholic beverages in a dry option territory.

• Daniel L. Thompson, 29, of 141 Carroll Street, Somerset, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

• Tommy W. Vaughn Jr., 31, of 110 Stringer Road, Somerset, charged with first-degree complicity to trafficking in a controlled substance (Oxycodone).

• Christopher M. Wilson, 25, of 802 Lee Trover Todd Highway, Earlington, Ky., charged with first-degree enhancement trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine), second-degree enhancement trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone) and third-degree enhancement trafficking in a controlled substance (Alprazolam).

The sheriff’s department requests that anyone with information on the list above contact the sheriff’s department at 678-5145. All information will be treated as confidential.

One person indicted in connection with the investigation has already been arrested.

Roy A. Griffon, 50, of 5730 Audobon Road, Detroit, Mich.. was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine).
