Phillip Junior Carter, 63, of Ky. 501 in Kings Mountain, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Locust Grove Baptist Church in Kings Mountain with Bro. Keith Bowen and Bro. Jim England officiating the service.
Burial will follow in KP Hall Cemetery.
The Visitation will be held 5-9 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Jewell “Judy” Littrell Cummins passed away from this life on Sunday, September 8, 2013 and went to be with the Lord.
She was born August 31, 1925 in Pulaski County, Ky., daughter of the late C.M. and Clara Littrell. She was married to her husband, W.C. “Jack” Cummins, who died on May 12, 1984. They were united in marriage on September 23, 1942 at the First Christian Church with the late L.D. Fisher officiating.
She was a life-long member of the First Christian Church and the Adams Sunday School. Also she enjoyed living a member of the Moon Beam Homemakers Club and Senior Friends. She had been an Associate of Wal-Mart for more than 20 years and enjoyed the commrodary of her friends she worked with and her peers. She was privileged to see the children of some of her customers grow into young adults during her time there.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Gayle (and Don) Wood of Blue Water Bay, Niceville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Tracy (and Mike) Adams of Navarre, Fla., Clint (and Elizabeth) Cummins of Folsom, La.,

Other than her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her only son, Jack Bruce Cummins, who passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2006; three brothers; Jeffery Littrell, Foster Littrell and Don Littrell; and two sisters; Zella Estes and Lena Ayers. She is also preceded in death by
infant twins who died at birth, and one aunt, Leddie Littrell.
Her passion was sewing and cooking for her family and friends. You could always expect her home to be surrounded by beautiful flowers she loved to share with friends.
Judy was a kind and loving person who will greatly be missed by everyone who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends, and church family who mourn her passing and celebrate her home going.
She will lie in state at the Somerset First Christian Church on Ky. 39 in Somerset, Kentucky from 11 a.m. until time for services at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
She will be laid to rest in the Liberty Cemetery at Bee Lick in the Littrell section of the cemetery with her husband, her son, her father, mother and infant twins.
In lieu of flowers family request expressions of sympathy to be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.

Mr. Earl Hampton, 89, of Morrow, Ohio, and formerly of Eubank, Ky., husband of Lodena Reynolds Hampton, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Morrow.
Earl was born on April 21, 1924 in Lancaster, Ky., a son of the late Pearl and Bertha Reynolds Hampton. He had been a welder with Caterpillar Co., was a member of Fairview Church of Christ, and he enjoyed fishing, gardening and drinking coffee and fellowshipping. On Dec. 6, 1950, he was united in marriage to Janet Bussell and from that union came seven children.
He is survived by his second wife, of 32 years Lodena Reynolds Hampton; his children, Sharon Durham (and Eddie), Larry Hampton (and Vicky), Archie Hampton (and Peggy), Jack Hampton (and Lana), Ray Hampton (and Denise), Rob Hampton (and Janice), and Crystal Creech (and Ed); three step-children, Debbie Radabaugh (and Kent), Wilma Smith (and Rick) and Rick Arney (and Adrianne); 11 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one great-great-grandchild; his brother and sisters, Verna Deboard, Albert Hampton (and Lois); Cecil Hampton (and Ann), Martha Minnard, Lillian Ann Vaughn (and Harold), Sue Schmidtgoessling, and Pearl Hampton (and Sally), as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Walter & Charles Hampton; a sister, Mary Bradley; and a granddaughter, Kirsty Creech.
Visitation services will be today from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Curt Herrington and Bro. Marvin Cromer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Willailla, Ky.

Josef Cornelius Lee "JC" Phillippi, 37, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Friday September 6, 2013.
He was born on October 24, 1975 in Louisville, Ky., to Don Phillippi of Somerset, Ky. and Dottie Ostrander Thornton of New York.
He attended Elrod Church of God and was a member of High St. Baptist Church. He also loved to fish and enjoyed other outdoor activities, spending time with his family and loved science.
