Sheriff’s ‘harvest’ yields 35 arrest warrants

Somerset — “Operation Winter Harvest” has brought in a bounty of suspects for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

For the past four months, the sheriff’s Narcotics Division has been conduction an undercover probe into illegal narcotics activity in Pulaski County.

The investigation, bearing the “Winter Harvest” name, resulted in a total of 35 individuals having warrants of arrest issued for them, on a total of 44 charges, primarily related to drug-based offenses.

“I commend the tireless effort put forth by the Narcotics Division of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, along with our citizens who provided valuable information and leads on several of these individuals involved in the illegal sale of narcotics in our community,” said Sheriff Todd Wood. “Working together, with our citizens, we can and do make a difference in the illegal drug activity in our community.”

The suspects include:

• Ronika Payton, 29, 1532 South U.S. 27 Knights Inn, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, a first offense (heroin),, two counts of second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Morris Daulton Jr., 45, 326 Sioux Trail, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Casey A. Wilson, 20, 2124 North Ky. 1247, Lot no. 14, Somerset, charged with cultivating marijuana, less than five plants.

• Kyle Garrett, 29, 4017 Slate Branch Road, Somerset, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense.

• Leslie R. Bates, 32, 339 Lakeshore Drive, Burnside, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Christie Hall, 39, 56 East Birdhouse Circle, Somerset, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Jennifer Helton, 38, 1927 Antioch Church Road, Burnside, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Ashley King, 27, 90 Caney Branch Spur, Tateville, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Matthew Logan, 27, 90 Caney Branch Road, Tateville, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• William Zearing, 24, 41 Kenton Lane, Somerset, charged with cultivating marijuana, over five plants, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Winston Wright Jr., 48, 41 Kenton Lane, Somerset charged with cultivating marijuana, over five plants, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Kimball Polston, 48, 800 Shoreline Drive, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), first offense.

• Channing Coyle, 27, 80 Golden Lane, Science Hill, charged with complicity to manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense.

• Tonya Hollis, 35, 952 Ky. 196, Nancy, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), first offense.

• Hayward Price, 65, 1 Jasper Circle Drive, Somerset, charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (first warrant).

• Charles Anthony Keeney, 49, 45 Harvey Street, Nancy, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Romarrow Carter, 37, 1532 South U.S. 27, Knights Inn, Somerset, charged with second-degree complicity to traffic in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Jordan L. Cox, 30, 115 Hardwick Road, Bronston, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Denver Mayfield III, 29, 255 Shafter Shepola Road, Somerset, charged with second-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, enhanced with a firearm.

• Jason Thrasher, 41, 215 Cedar Grove Court, Somerset, charged with cultivating marijuana, under five plants; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of marijuana.

• Charles Oiler, 68, 84 Deerfield Lane, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Nicole Roark, 33, 601 College Street, charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense.

• Dormus Weddle, 48, 60 Willow Oaks Drive, Nancy, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Scott W. Canada, 37, 202 Shannon Drive, Science Hill, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Gary R. Bolin, 56, 460 Willow Oaks Drive, Nancy, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Darlene Meadows, 50, 345 Old Columbia Road, Nancy, charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second offense.

• Robert Short, 37, 280 West Ky. 80, Apt. D, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Lisa Burton, 33, 200 South Vine Street, Apt. no. 9, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Troy Gregory, 58, 212 Beecher Street, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Michael F. Hewitt, 45, 251 L. Hines Road, Eubank, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Patricia Nicholas, 44, 212 Racetrack Road, Burnside, charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• Sheila Cynthia Landrum, 32, 1290 Ky. 1674, Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense.

• Eddie Nicholas, 58, 212 Racetrack Road, Burnside, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

• James Bradley Townsend, 44, 32 North Stevens Drive Somerset, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense.

• Judy Daulton, 47, 280 West Ky. 80, Apt. D, Somerset, charged with second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department requests that anyone with information of the location of the above individuals to contact the sheriff’s office at 606-678-5145. All information received will be treated as confidential.

“I understand that often our citizens grow impatient with the progress of these types of cases; however, illegal drug investigations take time to develop,” said Wood. “I want to assure our citizens that we investigate all leads provided to this agency along with the leads developed by our investigators. We must provide our prosecutors with the best case on each individual as to avoid dismissals on technicalities and ensure justice is reached for both the person charged and the Commonwealth.”
