Southwestern High School officials are currently investigating threatening texts sent to students.
Assistant Superintendent of Pulaski County Schools Sonya Wilds told the Commonwealth Journal that as of about 12:30 p.m., a couple of students had received "threatening" messages.
The school was not on lockdown, she said, where people could not enter and exit the building, but student movement within the school is being restricted until the origin of the texts can be identified.
"We're just being cautious," said Wilds. "There's no immediate threat."
The CJ will have more information as it becomes available.
