County ‘gas price summit’ postponed

Somerset —

A planned “gas price summit” that would have been held today has been postponed due to the weather conditions.
The forum proposed by citizen Mickey Williams, which would have been held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Carnegie Community Arts Center, will not be held.
A specific make-up date has not been set as of yet. Somerset Mayor Eddie Girdler said he was told that Williams hoped to have it in another “two or three weeks.”
Williams is a familiar sight at Somerset City Council meetings as of late, voicing his displeasure with what he feels to be unfairly high prices for gasoline in the Somerset area. He announced at last week’s meeting that he planned to hold the community forum and hoped to have city and county government officials attend.
