Seven charged in 2013 meth incident

Somerset — Seven people have been indicted in connection with a May 2013 incident in which they were allegedly found with a meth lab at a northern Somerset residence that had children inside.

A Pulaski County grand jury this month indicted Joseph Frasure, 43, Shaun M. Wright, 23, Joe L. Frasure, 19, Ashley Webb, 21, Dustin Webb, 23, Sheri Frasure, 36, and Devyn Saddler, 23, on manufacturing methamphetamine and child endangerment charges.

An investigation began on May 1, 2013 after detectives with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics Division received a tip that meth was being made at 81 Ky. 3091, located just north of Somerset.

According to a press release on the incident, the detectives, once arriving to the home, smelled “a strong chemical odor often associated with active methamphetamine labs.”

The investigators searched the home and allegedly found a number of items involved in the production of meth, including two active labs as well as HCL generators, Coleman fuel, and other such materials.

During the clean-up process, one of the meth labs even erupted in flames.

No one was injured in the incident.

Present in the home at the time of the alleged meth lab bust were four minor children who were taken to the Lake  Cumberland Regional Hospital for examination and then released to relatives.

Joseph Frasure, Joe L. Frasure, Ashley Webb, Dustin Webb, Sheri Frasure, and Saddler were all listed as residents of the Ky. 3091 home. Wright’s address was listed in the indictment as 422 Monticello Street.

All seven defendants were charged with manufacturing meth and fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child.

Joseph Frasure was also charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for allegedly having less than two grams of meth on him.

Dustin Webb was also charged with first-degree persistent felony offender, and Joseph Frasure was also charged with second-degree persistent felony offender.

An indictment is an accusation only. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
