Many Easter events available

Hippity-hoppity, Easter’s on its way ... and with it comes plenty of activities for families.

Here’s a list of some local Easter events:



Thursday, April 5

• First Presbyterian Church, 200 North Vine Street, is having a Maundy Thursday communion service at 7 p.m.

• First United Methodist Church, 99 S. Central Ave., Downtown Somerset, is having Maundy Thursday services at 7:00 p.m., in conjunction with First Christian Church of Somerset.



Friday, April 6

• First Christian Church, Ky. 39, will hold a Good Friday service at noon.

• The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at Don Marshall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Nissan, on U.S. 27 between stoplights 10 and 11, from 3 - 6 p.m. There will be free pictures, free candy, and an Easter egg hunt.

• Bogletown Pentecostal Church, 412 Bogle Street, will host an Easter play at 7 p.m.



Saturday, April 7

• The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at Don Marshall Chrysler Dodge Jeep Nissan, on U.S. 27 between stoplights 10 and 11, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. There will be free pictures, free candy, and an Easter egg hunt.

• Northside Baptist Church of Science Hill will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m.

• Southern Heights Christian Church, 350 West Bourbon Road, will have a picnic at noon and an Easter Egg Hunt for children age 1 - 8 at 1:30 p.m.

• Parkers Mill Baptist Church, 700 Parkers Mill Road, will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. For more information, call (606) 679-1215.

• White Lily Park will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. for ages 1 - 4, 5 - 10, and 11 - 14.

• Harvest Time Assembly of God Church will host a Community Egg Hunt at 2:30 p.m. for children 12 and under. For more information, call (606) 678-3033.

• Ferguson Park will host a Community Easter Egg Hunt at 3 p.m. for children 10 and under. Call (606) 679-6800 for info.

• Bogletown Pentecostal Church, 412 Bogle Street, will host an Easter play at 7 p.m.
