Pulaski man charged with threatening witness

A Pulaski County man has been charged with threatening a witness in a criminal proceeding.

Brandon Myers, 23, Oak Dale Drive, Somerset, was arrested Monday on a Pulaski District Court warrant following an investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

During an investigation, which was conducted by Det. John Hutchinson, the suspect is accused of threatening a witness in a criminal proceeding with bodily harm.

Myers was arrested 10 days after the alleged threat by Deputy Kevin Bullock and lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond.

Also on Monday, a Somerset man wanted on burglary and theft charges surrendered to authorities and a Pulaski County woman was arrested for failing to provide a change in information to appropriate officials.

Hubert W. Gilmore, 25, Cotter Avenue, turned himself into deputies at the Pulaski County Courthouse after a warrant from Casey County District Court was issued for his arrest.

Gilmore, who faces charges of first-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking, a firearm, was picked up by a deputy sheriff from the Casey County Sheriff’s Department shortly after his arrest.

Following the issuance of a warrant of arrest on indictment from Pulaski Circuit Court, Janie M. Cornett, 24, Cherry Grove Road, was charged with failing to report a change in order to receive benefits.

She was arrested and lodged in the detention center on a $5,000 cash or property bond.

A day earlier, police caught up with a Russell County man accused of not paying child support.

Robert B. Hare, 23, Voils Road, Russell Springs, was arrested on a Pulaski Circuit Court warrant after an indictment was handed down by a grand jury on a charge of flagrant non-support.

He was lodged in the detention center on a $5,000 non-refundable bond.

In other police news, a Somerset man was arrested at the courthouse on Aug. 23 and charged with a drug-related offense.

William R. Baker, 20, William Baker Road, was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, his first offense. He was arrested on a Pulaski Circuit Court warrant after he was charged in a grand jury indictment.

Baker was lodged in the detention center on a $10,000 cash or property bond.
