SPD on lookout for robbery suspect

Local authorities are on the lookout for the suspect of an early-morning robbery.
The Somerset Police Department responded at around 4 a.m. Monday morning to a report of a robbery at the 914 ExpressMart store, located near the intersection of Ky. 914 and Ky. 192.
“When officers arrived, they learned a man entered the store and made threats to the store clerk while stealing money from the register,” stated SPD Lt. Shannon Smith. 
The suspect is described as a white male with sandy brown or blonde hair, wearing a red hoodie-type sweatshirt. 
Smith said SPD is not releasing any video of the incident at this point. 
Smith said the suspect didn’t show a weapon during the incident, and he said the man fled the store and left in an older model red passenger car.
Smith said SPD is not releasing the amount of money taken during the robbery.
Officers were on the scene for about an hour before allowing to store to reopen.
