Two arrested on drug charges in Eubank

Police say they found meth lab, marijuana plants at residence

Eubank —

Police arrested two people early Wednesday after they allegedly found methamphetamine and marijuana at a Eubank home while serving an arrest warrant.
Trisha Shelton, 29, and Shawn Wells, 36, of Sizemore Lane, Eubank, were arrested at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on several charges, according to Eubank Police Chief Colin Hatfield.
Hatfield said he and Science Hill Police Chief Robbie Gossett went to 34 Sizemore Lane in Eubank late Tuesday to serve an arrest warrant on Shelton for shoplifting in an unrelated case. Hatfield said they also received a tip on a possible methamphetamine lab at the residence.
Once there, they were greeted by Wells. Hatfield said Wells gave the officers consent to search the home.
During the search, Hatfield and Gossett allegedly found “several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, including a generator, tubing, Coleman fuel, liquid fire, salt, digital scales and several other items,” according to Hatfield.
“Also found was what appeared to be finished methamphetamine, and approximately 15 marijuana plants,” stated Hatfield.
Shelton and Wells were arrested and charged with manufacturing meth, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cultivating marijuana over five plants, and possessing drug paraphernalia.
They were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
Hatfield and Gossett were assisted at the scene by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department Meth Lab Clean-Up Team.
