Gregory, Garner, Garrett and Hamilton score big wins for SPY Aquatics

In a team loss to Russell Springs Swim Club, the Somerset Pulaski YMCA team members of Valerie Gregory, Callie Garner, Elise Garrett and Sam Hamilton were still able to dominate their individual events.
Gregory claimed gold in the girls 11 & 12 year old 50-meter freestyle with a time of 33.17, the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:12.87, the 100-meter individual medley with a time 1:27.38, 50-meter butterfly with a time of 37.83 and the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 46.08.
Garner won the girls 17 & 18 year old 50-meter freestyle with a time of 29.64, the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:06.57, the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 35.67, the 100-meter individual medley with a time of 1:19.55 and the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 36.08.
Garrett placed first in the girls 13 & 14 year old 50-meter freestyle with a time of 32.32, the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:14.21, the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 38.46, the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 36.89 and the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 44.88.
Hamilton claimed victories in the boys 15 & 16 year old freestyle with a time of 27.87, the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:01.92, the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 33.91, the 100-meter individual medley with a time of 1:13.52 and the 50-meter butterfly with a time of 32.05.
Other winners from the local SPY team included Laila Cook in the girls 6 & under 25-meter freestyle with a time of 24.25, Kamil Cook in the boys 7 & 8 year old 25-meter freestyle with a time of 22.61, Laila Cook in the 25-meter backstroke with a time of 31.78, Nowelle Altman in the girls 13 & 14 year old 100-meter individual medley with a time of 1:35.62, Aaron Crubaugh in the boys 6 & under 25-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:05.84, Laila Cook in the 25-meter breaststroke with a time of 39.4, and Jase Bruner in the boys 7 & 8 year old 25-meter breaststroke with a time of 33.05.
The 6 & under mixed 100-meter freestyle relay team of Crubaugh, Patricia Anguiano, Laila Cook and Emily Luttrell won with a time of 2:32.18. The mixed 13 & 14 year old 200-meter medley relay team of Morgan Crosslin, Altman, Garrett and Ethan Grubb won with a time of 2:35.87.
