Pulaski Co. throttles Montgomery Co., 38-7

Mt. Sterling — For the second straight week, Pulaski breezed to an easy win as the Maroons punished Montgomery County, 38-7.

With four defensive interceptions and a total of 345 yards, the 2-0 Maroons controlled the game from the start.

Pulaski QB Riley Hall threw 17-for-23 for 199 yards and rushed for another 63 yards. Hall scored a rushing TD and a passing TD.

Freshman receiver Jake Johnson caught 6 passes for 72 yards.

Pulaski got on the scoreboard first with a 15-yard touchdown pass from Riley Hall to Jesse Whitaker with 4:14 left in the first quarter.

Pulaski scored in the second quarter off a 22-yard TD run by Jesse Whitaker with 8:49 left in opening half.

Pulaski scored with 4:15 left in the half off a 75-yard interception TD return by Christian Holman.

Pulaski took advantage of a Jacob Denney interception when  Hall ran the ball in for a 22-yard TD with 1:49 left in the half to give the Maroons a 28-0 halftime lead.

Late in third quarter, Derek Burgett kicked a 37-yard field goal to put Pulaski up 31-0.

Pulaski freshman scored Dylan Hopkins scored on a 5-yard run to put the Maroons up 38-0 with 7:01 left in the game.

With a running clock, the Indians scored with seconds left on the clock.
