Somerset — After an Somerset interception by Addison Thompson on Glasgow’s first offensive play of the game, the Briar Jumpers raced out to an early lead and never looked back in a 35-13 win over the Scotties at William Clark Field.

Somerset, now 2-3 on the season, capitalized on that early interception and scored off a Bryson Jones 9-yard touchdown run.

Somerset ran their two-minute drill to perfection to close out the first half on a Jordan Doan 1-yard touchdown run to put the Jumpers up 14-0 at the half.

Glasgow got the ball back midway through the third quarter, but a Somerset interception by Alex Franklin near midfield put a damper on the Scottie’s second half momentum.

Somerset junior Brycen McWilliams scored from 14 yards out to give Somerset a 21-7 lead.

Somerset tacked on another score to open the fourth quarter, when Bryson Jones scored from one yard out to put the Jumpers up 28-7.

Brycen McWilliams scored his second TD of the night on a 1-yard run with 4:28 left in the game.
