Samantha Randolph - Player of the Year
This season, Pulaski County High School senior Samantha Randolph amassed 458 kills, 266 assists, 78 aces, 20 blocks, 185 digs. Randolph was named to both district and region All-Tournament team honors. For her career, Randolph tallied over 1,000 kills.

It’s a game that Johnny Hines still remembers vividly to this day.
On November 29, 1978, Hines played the final game of his high school career as a member of the Somerset Briar Jumper football team, losing to Mayfield at Eastern Kentucky University in the state championship game by a 22-7 margin.
The Somerset Briar Jumpers fell one point short of a trip to the Class 2A State Championship Friday night as they lost to the defending State Champion Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds 49-48.
It was a game where the lead changed 6 times.
Pulaski Co. makes first state finals with 20-17 win over Anderson County
For the first time in the program’s history, the Pulaski County High School football team will be playing for a KHSAA state championship title.
Jose Delgado named Player of the Year
The 2013 boy’s soccer season locally was another banner year for all teams involved.
2013 saw Somerset Christian Academy claim a state championship in the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association, while having a member from that squad being honored by being named Mr. Soccer for the state of Kentucky.
Cheuvront, Skidmore, Hines garner prep gridiron post-season honors
Somerset High School senior offensive lineman Kagen Skidmore has been named District Most Valuable Player for 2013. He is the only lineman in the entire class to be so named. His fellow honorees include three quarterbacks, two running backs, and two wide receivers.
Brandi Abrams named Player of the Year
Southwestern finished with a combined 3-0 record in their meetings against Pulaski County and Somerset in the 2013 high school girls soccer season.
